Day 365: The Final Poster

So I duplicated my file name numbers somewhere in the 365 days of doing this project which is why "Day 365" is being posted on day 366. I actually did more than 365 total designs but got my numbers mixed up somewhere. It's hard to believe that I'm finished! What an incredible learning experience. I not only learned quite a bit about the software, composition and ways to speed up my process but also discovered my ability to commit to a disciplined schedule. At the beginning, 365 seemed like such a large number...come to think of it, it STILL does :)
I'm going to take a break from doing another 365 day project this year but I will undoubtedly do another project sometime in the future.

Now I will rest.

Day 364: Magazine Layout

Here is my take on a magazine tutorial. I spent quite a while rewriting the instructions so I can use this in my class. I like the picture and colors I used much better than the original.

Day 53: Memorial Card

This was created (in collaboration with Kathy) for the memorial service of an incredible guy. Kelly was a good friend, hilarious man and cookie master! I'm so happy to have known him.

Day 21: Electives Mod

Here is what students had to say about their favorite non-business or language elective.

Day 20: Permits

Here is the Sophomore with permits mod. I'm not sure how dark the license background will print out. On screen it is really light but it should print much darker.

Day 19: Sophomores

Sophomore title. The picture is from Pep Rally. It was converted to black and white after I selected the Red (sophomore class color) from their shirts.

Day 18: Pets

I've spent hours upon hours working on various yearbook layouts, mods, images etc. I'm going to post just a small sample of items.

Here is the almost completed Pet Mod... Barney is the rockstar of the page!!

Day six through nine: Yearbook

So the week was spent doing yearbook stuff. The following pictures are only portions of the work I did. The font's are a bit jacked up since I'm posting these from home (I don't have the correct fonts installed on my home computer).

In the academics section (hell actually all sections) we have a hard time getting students to actually read the text we write. Since they could care less about what was done in history class we opted instead for "fun facts". To entice the readers even more we replaced some words with random pictures. We'll see if we get any positive feedback.
