This was a simple effect that was somewhat derivative of others I've seen. Essentially it was a simple font placed on a heartbeat line, rotate the text and apply the wind filter one way and then the other. The background was created using a gradient overlay and a spray filter. It's not one of the better effects I've tried but I did like the idea of erasing parts of the letters that touch the line.
